Founded in January 2012, Stars Youth Development Center ( hereafter “STARS”) is a non-profit organization to promote reading among children in rural areas. STARS’ mission is to improve reading quality for children in rural areas.
Principle Projects
Primary School Library
Primary School Library is a cooperation project with local primary schools within the reading alliance who has strong willingness and capacity for a own library.
The Community Library
The Community Library targets at areas of large floating population of children between rural and urban areas.
The Bookcase Drifting Project
The Bookcase Drifting Project enable more students to get the quality reading resources by borrowing and circulating bookcases even without a library.
The Readora Project
The Readora project aims to cultivate children's interest for reading in rural area
The Book-sharing Project
The Book-sharing project collects second-hand books from urban areas as well as runs fundraising for primary schools in rural areas.
